You Lie!

I Rep. Joe Wilson was looking to sell some T-shirts, he certainly is off to a good start. Its a pithy little slogan that has gotten everyone's attention.

How about this little video, Bush getting booed by the democrats while he discusses the need for social security reform.

Wilson was not only right to do it, but it should have been more coordinated. They should have chanted "let us in" or "talk to US" and made the issue about Obama refusing to discuss any republican ideas. The ideal time was right after Obama said, "I'll take ideas from everyone..." Its a shame that opportunity was missed.

...and Republicans routinely booed Clinton:

State of the Union address, 1995:

"The upheaval wrought by the Republican election landslide was visible throughout the president's State of the Union address -- from the moment Speaker Newt Gingrich took the gavel to the striking silence that often greeted Clinton from the GOP. At one point, Republicans even booed. About 20 of them left as Clinton went on and on for an hour and 20 minutes."

State of the Union address, 2005:

"When the president talked about the bankruptcy of Social Security, there were clearly some Democrats on the floor who thought that that was taking it too far. And they did something that [...] no one at this table has ever heard before. They booed."

Maybe that's just what members of the opposition party do. No, wait, you're more interested in finding out who started it. Both parties should be sent to their rooms without dinner!

Actually, I love dissent. Even when its a little messy.

We should be afraid when Dems and Rebublicans start getting along too well.
